ASTM Level 3 face masks are ideal or recommended for use in areas with procedures in which moderate to high amounts of fluid, spray and/or aerosols are produced, such as complex oral surgery, crown preparation, implant placement, periodontal surgery, and more.
Proper Use:
- Wash your hands before putting on your mask
- Put it over your nose and mouth and secure it under your chin
- Try to fit it snugly against the sides of your face
- Make sure you can breathe easily
- Wear a mask correctly for maximum protection
- Do not put the mask around your neck or up on your forehead
- Do not touch the mask, and, if you do, wash your hands, or use hand sanitizer to disinfect
Warning and Precautions:
- Your hands can contaminate a clean mask. Wash your hand prior to applying a mask.
- Replace masks if they become damaged or if you feel an increased resistance in breathing.
- Use duration is recommended at 4 hours
- Keep masks out of direct sunlight.
- Failure to ensure proper facial fit will result in inadequate filtration & protection.
- Always double check that the mask has formed a snug fit with no gaps when first applying the mask.
